Janice will listen to people when they are talking about the Mayo Clinic and her experience with the Clinic gives her a unique insight into the system. She often can tell guests how the system works, and she helps to alleviate some of their fears.

Reyna Deanda years have been with the property since August 2016. Reyna is kind and always greets staff and guests with a smile which brightens everyone’s day. She comes ready to start work, and when she arrives, she is willing to help fellow employees complete their duties.
Her experience is very important, as every day she is able to get through her guest rooms and help when needed in a timely manner.

For the past 15 years, Kim has been known as one of the most caring, dependable, and hardworking team members at AmericInn by Wyndham Sauk Centre. She’s known for going the extra mile for her guests, which was recently exemplified when she helped attend to a guest whose dog passed away during their stay. Not only did Kim help the guest find a nearby veterinarian, but she also covered the veterinary cost out of her own pocket when the guest revealed they couldn’t afford it.
"Kim is so deeply caring towards her fellow team and our guests,” shares Pamela Durbin, the hotel’s general manager. “I am honored to have her as our Head Housekeeper.” Kim will receive 150,000 Wyndham Rewards points – enough for a minimum of five free nights at approximately 9,000 hotels

On September 13th Discover Lodging provided a work retreat for all the General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and corporate office personnel. The retreat, which was a mystery bus tour, took place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The tour provided all employees with a chance to get away from work for a few days and experience some different places and activities that they would normally not do in northern and central Minnesota. Some of the activities included ax throwing, touring a baseball bat facility, a pontoon ride, touring a factory that makes snacks, a character-building activity, touring a creamery, and listening to two different comedians. The retreat was welcomed by all as it allowed staff members to meet and interact with each other in a relaxing and enjoyable setting.
Since partnering with Discover Lodging in 2002 to manage the AmericInn of Valley City, ND, Marie and her team have guided my group through adding additional rooms, a bar & grill, and the development of a new hotel. As a local owner who lives and works in the community of our two hotels and restaurant, I appreciate their commitment to the employees and their dedicated support of our city, college, high school, and local businesses.
